Midday shadows, autumn breeze;
Gentle rain on golden leaves;
Couples strolling in the park,
Hand in hand and one in heart;
Making plans for days to come,
Just like us when we were one.

Evening shadows, sunset sky;
Gold and red blends into night;
Arm in arm two lovers walk,
And build their futures as they talk;
Just the way we use to do
When arm in arm I walked with you.

Midnight shadows, bright moonglow,
They pause, embrace, then turn to go;
And as the midnight bell now tolls
For us as our lives unfold,
Will we walk for daybreak hand in hand,
Or does the bell toll our love’s end?
